Meet Dr. Saam (associate)

Dentistry gives me the opportunity to improve each patient’s health and wellbeing and to also form lasting relationships with truly great people. I consider my patients to be family and look forward to catching up with them at their regular check-ups.

As a Waterbury native, it’s great to be able to see and care for so many of my friends and neighbors. We share many of the same experiences, joys, obstacles, and goals for our community. Helping to make this area, which has given me so much, a better and healthier place, is something I take to heart.

I am happy to be part of West Side Dental, especially this was my dentist’s office when I was growing up. It is incredible to now work alongside the same people who took care of my teeth when I was a child and young adult!

As a dentist, I am especially drawn to the artistic aspect of my work. This is a creative field that perfectly blends technology, science, and art to improve people’s oral, physical, and emotional health. What I do is intellectually stimulating and extremely fulfilling.

For people who have dental anxiety, I want you to know that my goal, and that of everyone at West Side Dental, is to make sure you have a pleasant, painless experience in our office and leave feeling better, healthier, and happier. I believe my calm demeanor will put you at ease and offer reassurance that you’re in compassionate, gentle hands.

Being a dentist means I must stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and practices, along with research, in order to provide patients with the best options. Continuing education keeps me current on oral healthcare advancements as I learn from leading practitioners in the field.

I attend monthly meetings with local dental societies, as well as the annual Yankee Dental Congress in Boston. I also take a range of online courses and keep up with various refereed journals and other oral healthcare publications.

In the Community

I believe that each of us should give back and work to strengthen our community in order to make it a healthier, happier place for all of us.

It is an honor to volunteer my time and skills with the Mission of Mercy at the annual free dental clinic. I also work at the Danbury Hospital Dental Clinic, providing life-changing dental care to an underserved population of people from the greater Danbury area. Additionally, I work two days a month at Danbury Hospital, teaching residents and helping to further their dental education.

Beyond the Office

I grew up in Waterbury and now live in Beacon Falls with my fiancée, Cristina. When I’m not seeing patients, volunteering, or teaching, I like to play tennis, work on cars, and am a huge Yankees fan.
